Youth homelessness is real and each year we support over 150 young people across North Devon who are either sofa surfing, rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness.
Positive Futures is about changing the odds for care leavers, giving them the chance to thrive and gain the skills to take back control of their future.
Streetwise supports young people between the ages of 16-18 years and up to 25 for young people in care living in the Torridge area who are at risk of homelessness and rough sleeping.
Michael is 54 years old and had been rough sleeping for over 15 years, he is an alcoholic with very poor health and visual impairment
Tony was 17 years of age and attended college full time when we first met him. Tony has Special Educational Needs and receives high level Personal Independence Payments (PIP).
Emily is a lone parent with mental health issues, she was referred by the Early Help team who were assisting her with parenting issues around the eldest child who also has mental health issues.
