Positive Futures is about changing the odds for care leavers, giving them the chance to thrive and gain the skills to take back control of their future.
The project works with care leavers experiencing a variety of issues including housing or homelessness, budgeting, debt and independent living skills. The aim of this project is to support young people to realise their full potential and aspirations by empowering them to aim for a positive future which is not based on their past experiences.
Providing intensive bespoke support work with care leavers aged between 18-25 years to address the issues that are important to them to ensure a positive future. The project supports care leavers to improve their mental health and wellbeing, financial situation and relationships with family, friends and peers. And the exciting bit! Each year we organise an away day or event for those supported by the project including attending concerts and national events to celebrate the progress our young people have made.
