The Homelessness Peer Champion project is about bringing together the energy, commitment, skills and lived experiences of young people from across North Devon to develop a team of trained Homeless Peer Champions. With the support of an experienced youth worker as a coach, the team have developed a high quality educational package for young people in order to prevent homelessness among young people. All of the Peer Champions have experienced homelessness and are passionate about sharing their experiences and the associated learning.
Our Champions have developed and designed a set of workshops than can be delivered to schools and youth clubs across the area. The project is be led by young people and delivers social impact and social capital to the community.
