London Marathon
The TCS London Marathon 2026 – Encompass Southwest Charity Places.
Encompass Southwest have 2 silver bond places for the 2026 London Marathon and are looking for runners to represent the charity in London 2026.

We are looking for 2 runners who are genuinely interested in supporting our cause. Encompass is a local charity based in North Devon supporting people who find themselves rough sleeping, homeless or at risk of homelessness, we offer specialist support to women, young people and those people who struggling to deal with the impacts of trauma such as domestic or sexual abuse, neglect and exploitation. We are passionate about providing support which focuses on supporting people to address “what matters” to them.
Funding raised through the London Marathon will go towards the following projects:
- Fund our new Women’s Centre in Barnstaple
- Provide specialist counselling to women who have experienced domestic and sexual violence through our Pathfinder project
- Fund youth outreach sessions across North Devon to help engage with young people who may be facing homelessness or whom need support to get back into education or training.
How to apply?
If you would like to be considered for one of our two places for 2026 then we ask that you visit our website and complete the online application, to tell us a bit more about you and why you would like to represent Encompass. Online applications are open between Tuesday 6th May 2025 – Monday 26th May 2025. Applications will be reviewed by the Chief Officer and a member of the trustee team who will choose 2 runners. The successful runners will be notified by 11th June 2025.
How much do you need to raise?
We are asking each runner to raise a minimum of £2500 through sponsorship and fundraising events. You will not be required to pay any fees other than your fundraising amount.
Support from Encompass
Encompass will support you to register via the ‘Let’s Do This’ official registration platform partner. You will also have access to Enthuse where you can collect donations and co-ordinate fundraising event.
In addition to this we will provide you with running vests and hoodies, access to our social media team at Coastin Media to track your progress and share it with the local community. You will also receive support from our Business Development Manager who will support you with your fundraising.
What if I don’t get selected.
If you don’t get selected, you can always try again next year as ENCOMPASS have 2 places for the 2027, 2028 and 2029 London Marathon’s.
Publicity
Publicity When you accept the place for Encompass you are agreeing to get involved in publicising the event on both social media and local press.
